Double Charge Through the Chaos: Ingratta and Da Silva Fight Back on Saturday
Saturday’s racing delivered every element of high-level karting—speed, setbacks, rain, and relentless comebacks. With Leo Da Silva competing in X30 Junior and Ayden Ingratta lining up in Pro X30, the stage was set for a strong weekend from the outset.
Fast From the Start
Friday’s Happy Hour sessions showed promising pace from both drivers. Ingratta set the tone early, going P1 in Pro X30 and making it clear he would be a contender all weekend. Da Silva followed with a solid P6 in X30 Junior.
Rain Shakes Up Qualifying
Saturday morning brought rain and changing track conditions, forcing teams and drivers to adapt quickly.
Ingratta delivered under pressure, qualifying P3 in Pro X30 and keeping himself firmly in the fight at the front. Da Silva remained consistent in the tricky conditions, qualifying P6 in X30 Junior.
Both drivers were poised for strong pre-final performances.
Pre-Final Setbacks
Unfortunately, racing doesn’t always reward preparation.
A rough start in the Pro X30 pre-final ended Ingratta’s race early with a DNF. In X30 Junior, Da Silva’s pre-final was cut short due to a mechanical issue, also resulting in a DNF. Two setbacks. Two drivers pushed to the back for the finals. But the story wasn’t finished.
The Charge Back
The finals became a showcase of resilience.
In Pro X30, Ingratta launched an aggressive and calculated drive through the field, carving his way forward from P27 to an impressive P4 finish—just shy of the podium after starting on the back foot.
Meanwhile, Da Silva delivered one of the drives of the day in X30 Junior. Starting 32nd, he methodically worked through the field, capitalized on opportunities, and pushed relentlessly to finish P6—an incredible recovery.
The Bigger Picture
Saturday was a reminder of what defines top-level drivers: not just speed, but response.
From DNFs in the pre-finals to front-running pace in the finals, both Ingratta and Da Silva demonstrated grit, adaptability, and the refusal to let adversity define their weekend.
Let’s see what Sunday brings.
