After phenomenal results in the second round of Coupe deMontreal at TAG Karting Academy in
Mont Tremblant, REM was ready to deliver another greatresult at Hamilton Karting Complex,
and they didn’t disappoint.
REM arrived at Hamilton Karting Complex with the momentum ofa dominant performance in
Mont Tremblant for the first round of the Rotax MaxChallenge Ontario. With a stacked lineup in
Senior and the return of Jensen Burnett from his racing andtravels abroad, the buzz around the
paddock was palpable, and there was no question that theteam was there to take it all.
After a consistent pace throughout testing and intoqualifying for the weekend, Senior had a
very REM-heavy qualifying session, with 6 drivers making itinto the top 10. Heat races
demonstrated the same pace and consistency across the board,with 7 of our drivers finishing in
the top 10 by the end of Heat 2.
The Senior final is when things really came to life: Burnettled for most of the race in a battle
among REM drivers for the top three positions. After anintense 25 laps, it would be Jensen
Burnett in P1, Antoine Lemieux in P2, and WilliamBouthillier in P3. However, after penalties for
passing under caution, P2 was awarded to Bouthillier, pushing Ryan Maxwell from P4 to P3;
REM finished 1-2-3.
