The Canadian Open at SH Karting delivered everything a race weekend could offer—rain, sunshine, mixed conditions, and some of the hardest-fought competition of the season. From wet practice, qualifying and heats to bone dry pre-finals and finals, the stage was set for one fantastic race weekend.

Emotions swung from heartbreak to triumph. William Bouthillier put on a dominant performance throughout the weekend in Rotax Senior, controlling nearly every session and looking set for victory. In the final, however, circumstances shifted, and despite incredible pace, the win slipped away, leaving with a second-place finish. It was a tough pill to swallow, but Will drove exceptionally all weekend.

At the same time, we had plenty of reasons to celebrate. Ryan Maxwell and Leonardo Serravalle won their respective RMC Ontario championships in Rotax Junior (Serravalle) and Rotax Senior (Maxwell). These titles not only represent months of hard work but also secure their tickets to the Rotax Grand Finals in Bahrain.

Adding to the excitement was a podium drive that saw Leo Da Silva storm through the field to claim second place. It was a dominant drive with some laps in the lead; Leo demonstrated phenomenal race craft to defend P2 to the checkered flag, securing an REM 1-2 finish; Leonardo Serravalle in P1 and Leo Da Silva in P2. The Leo Front Row Lockout.

While the weekend brought its share of challenges, it also showcased the resilience, skill, and spirit that REM carries week in, week out. From dominant drives to victories and championships, the Canadian Open was a great weekend overall.
